What Saquon Barkley did on Saturday night in Iowa City was unbelievable. In Penn State’s thrilling win over the Hawkeyes, Barkley did things on that field that normal human beings should not be able to do. He ran for 211 yards and 1 TD on 28 carries while tallying 94 receiving yards on 12 catches. Saquon put the Nittany Lions on his back and willed them to a 21-19 last walk off-win.
Here are some of the highlights. Unreal.
First, the game winning touchdown
This hurdle came on a crucial 3rd down in the 4th quarter:
This run was just stupid.
He’s currently the NCAA leader in all purpose yards, averaging 253 per game. He has 518 rush yards and 335 receiving yards in FOUR games.
He’s a video game. A cheat code. Every Penn State game is must watch television. I haven’t seen a running back this electrifying since Reggie Bush. Every time Saquon Barkley touches the ball people get up in their seats.
College football as a whole this year is filled with incredible talent. Saquon Barkley. Lamar Jackson. Baker Mayfield. Sam Darnold. Josh Rosen. These guys make up college football’s most entertaining landscape in recent memory.
The bottom line is that Saquon Barkley would be the best running back in the NFL right now and GM’s (Jerry Reese, if you’re reading this) should think long and hard before passing on him in this upcoming draft. Give this man the Heisman. He’s the most dominant player in college football right now.
