2 Reasons to Bet Your 401k on the Yankees: Betting the Yankees v.s. Indians Game 5 ALDS 2017

If there were any 2 reasons to take out your 401K and bet it on a baseball game, these would be the reasons and the game.

Reason 1:

When CC Sabathia was a rookie in 2001, he entered the big leagues as a Cleveland Indian. In his rookie campaign, he posted a  17-5 record with a 4.39 ERA. During the 2001 postseason, the Cleveland Indians were up 2-1 in the ALDS. They went on to blow that series lead as the Mariners came back to beat the Indians in 5 games. Just a few days ago, the Indians were up 2-1 in the 2017 ALDS. After a game 4 loss in New York, these two teams now head back to Cleveland for game 5 and look at who the New York Yankees are putting on the bump: CC Sabathia. How ironic….

Reason 2:

In 2001, the Yankees were down 2-0 in the ALDS to the Oakland Athletics. In game 3 of that series they won by a score of 1-0. Similarly this year, the Yankees were down 2-0 to the Indians and won game 3 by a score of 1-0. When that happened in 2001, they went on to win the series in 5 games…

These are two weird facts that baseball bettors can’t ignore. If I were a baseball bettor, I’d go ahead and put my 401k on the Yankees money-line because you never know when history may repeat itself…
