NFL Sunday Slate – Week 6, 2017

Recently, I wrote a blog about how the NFL would be popular forever.

Doesn’t matter if OL coaches are ripping blow with strippers or if Mrs. Goodell  is using twitter accounts to protect her bum husband.  The NFL always responds.  Always.

What a week of action.

Let’s get into it.

Teddy Bridgewater is scheduled to practice next week. Do you realize how absurd that is?

Teddy 2 Minutes.  Teddy 2 Gloves. Five.

Call him what you want (I call him my Franchise QB).  He is a week away from being activated from the PUP and that means one thing and one thing only…Teddy Time.

My Plans to Fix College Football Halftimes

Step 1: Get the Band Off the Field

Collegiate Bands have been ruining football since the leatherheads invented CTE. These kids get enough credit as it is. You’re on full scholarship for playing a flute. Stay in your lane. There is not a more self-righteous person on a college campus than a member of the band. These kids consider themselves the biggest college football fans with their customized t-shirts and brass music makers. I’ve had enough. They travel on their own bus to the game and sit in their own section in the stadium, and they are cocky enough to demand more. They need a choreographed dance on the field at halftime? Give it a rest. Play the fight song after a touchdown and then find your seat.  The real fans have a game to watch. Continue reading My Plans to Fix College Football Halftimes

Why the NFL will be around forever.

“The NFL has reached its peak”

“CTE is killing people.”

“The NFL won’t be around for much longer.”

Blah. Blah. Blah.

I am so tired of everybody acting like the NFL is done or like football is just going to stop existing.

So this is me, Skol, telling you why you do not have to worry and why you’ll be able to watch the NFL every damn Sunday until you’re watching with Y.A. Tittle (RIP to the legend).

NFL Sunday Slate – Week 5, 2017

Not going to lie, I kind of love when the Vikings don’t play on Sunday.  No stress, just get to sit back and Redzone the fuck out of my day.

Sadly, this slate was not as electric as the past two weeks.  But did the factory workers just skip work when it was raining during the Industrial Revolution? NO.

11am-11pm. Punch the clock.

Here we go.

NFL Sunday Slate – Week 4, 2017

Before we get started, I am going to be honest with all of my loyal readers.  This was not a fun Sunday for me.  Not only did the Vikings lose a big divisional game at home, they lost Dalvin Cook for the rest of the year.

Listen, every team deals with injuries and nobody feels bad for other teams.  I know that.  But this is getting ridiculous.  Dalvin joins Sammy B and Teddy Two Gloves on the list of Vikings to go down with non contact knee injuries.

Football just continuously breaks hearts, but electric slates like today will always bring us back to our couches every Sunday, no matter how much it hurts.

Lets. Get. Into. It.  Continue reading NFL Sunday Slate – Week 4, 2017

NFL Sunday Slate – Week 3, 2017

Wow!  What an electric Sunday.

First off, I absolutely love the 9:30 start from across the pond.  Nothing like waking up after a night of debauchery with the boys, and having instant action.  Not to mention you don’t have to watch all of the trash pregame shows from 10-1.

As a blogger who respects myself, I will not make this slate about politics or the anthem, just about the amazing slate we got blessed with today.

Let’s get into it.
